Discover Peru’s vibrant capital, the magic of the Amazon in Manu, the cultural treasures of Cusco and the Sacred Valley, and the legendary Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

This 18-day adventure combines Lima, Cusco, jungle lodges, guided city tours, Sacred Valley highlights, Rainbow Mountain, the Classic Inca Trail, and the final arrival at Machu Picchu via the Sun Gate.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Flight to Peru.

Day 2: Morning arrival in Lima, hotel transfer, breakfast, free time for rest and acclimatization, Barranco tour, visit to the Bridge of Sighs and coastal viewpoints, plus dinner with show or dancing.

Day 3: Breakfast in Lima, airport transfer, flight to Cusco, hotel transfer, time to acclimatize, and welcome dinner with typical Andean cuisine.

Day 4: Very early departure from Cusco, scenic drive through Andean valleys, visit to Paucartambo, stop at pre-Inca tombs and viewpoints, cloud forest lunch, wildlife spotting, and overnight at a jungle lodge in Pilcopata.

Day 5: Guided nature walk, coca plantation visit, transfer to Puerto Atalaya, boat trip on the Alto Madre de Dios River, swamp excursion, night boat outing to observe caimans, and overnight at an Amazon lodge.

Day 6: Sunrise boat trip to the Macaw Clay Lick, rainforest hike, optional zip-lining, afternoon visit to Machuwasi Lake by raft, wildlife observation, night walk, and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Breakfast, hummingbird observation, boat back to Puerto Atalaya, overland return to Cusco, lunch on route, and overnight in Cusco.

Day 8: Guided Cusco city tour with Qorikancha, Sacsayhuamán, Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, and an artisanal center.

Day 9: Sacred Valley VIP tour with Chinchero, Moray, Maras Salt Mines, buffet lunch in Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, and Pisac.

Day 10: Early pickup for Rainbow Mountain, breakfast in Cusipata, hike from Phulawasipata, summit views, lunch, and return to Cusco.

Day 11: Free day in Cusco for rest, exploration, or optional activities.

Day 12: Hotel pickup, breakfast prepared by the trekking team, drive to Km 82, trek through valleys and villages, visit Patallacta, and overnight at Ayapata campsite.

Day 13: Trek to Dead Woman’s Pass, descend into Pacaymayu Valley, climb to the second pass, visit Runcu Raccay and Sayacmarca, and overnight at Chaquicocha campsite.

Day 14: Cloud forest section with views of Salkantay and Vilcabamba, visits to Phuyupatamarka, Intipata, and Wiñay Wayna, plus farewell dinner with the trekking team.

Day 15: Early hike to the Sun Gate for sunrise, first panoramic views of Machu Picchu, guided tour of the citadel, free time for photos, and bus to Aguas Calientes.

Day 16: Cocalmayo Hot Springs with time to relax in the thermal baths, then afternoon return to Cusco.

Day 17: Transfer to Cusco airport, free afternoon in Lima, and flight connection onward.

Day 18: Lima City Tour with Huaca Pucllana, Main Square, San Martín Square, the Historic Center, San Isidro, Miraflores, and evening transfer to the airport for return to the USA.
